Sounds About Right. Welcome To That “New Normal” Again

Adrift off the coast of the Azores is an enormous cargo ship, the Felicity Ace, and she’s burning with no sign of stopping any time soon.

As though the perfect signal of how to emblemize 2022, her cargo is a fleet of luxury cars destined for the Eastern Shore of America, headed for the waiting hands of hundreds of eager drivers.

Alas, those drivers will be met with disappointment…again.

Website The Drive reports that on board were some 4,000 vehicles including close to 200 Bentleys. A Bentley (Bentayaga) retails in the US for approximately $160,000.00. You read that right.

Felicity Ace had departed from Germany not long ago, and was to land in Dansville, Rhode Island on Wednesday, Instead, she’ll float around in the ocean until she becomes part new fodder for a reef.

Fortunately, the 22-member crew of the Felicity Ace were all apparently lifted to safety by the Portuguese Navy not long after sending a distress signal. In even better naming ironies, they were picked up from their lifeboats by a Greek tanker, the Resilient Warrior, before lifted by helicopter and returned to safety.
