Hello, Men? Here’s What Those ‘Strong Women’ You Seek Actually Want From You

So. Many. Men. Unabashedly say they want a strong woman, a capable woman, a successful woman. But then, when they date one, or even look at the online dating profile of one, it appears they just aren’t sure what to do.

Men appear to be much more prepared to date a woman who is unsure of herself, who is a bit...dare I say…needy? And I find this to be really, truly, funny because (as a woman who has maintained an online dating profile for an unenviable amount of time now), a super-high number of men claim to want “no drama” in the women they date, and they even claim to demand a woman who is financially stable (not sure why that is in a dating profile, but it is, so there must be a reason).

So here’s the thing. We ladies chat a bit about what we seek in men, what we do and don’t find attractive. (Hint: the dad bod thing was a joke, a passing fad at best. We don’t need Jason Momoa, but we also don’t want Fred Flintstone, hear me?) I can speak on behalf of a good percentage of capable, strong women when I make some claims. Which I’m about to do.
