Hi Full Frontal - I reference Dr. Stosny not just one, but twice and link to two of his publications, but also each of the other source sites for the phrases "demand/withdrawal," "distancer/pursuer," and "fear/shame" as they've become part of the parlance in relationship dynamics on the whole.

Dr. Stosny's work is in parallel with the Gottman Institute, whose method and resources I look to for a good part of research about relationships in general. They are also linked if you want to read more about their work, especially on autonomy and closeness, which relate closely to distancer/pursuer dynamics. Their blogs are tremendous!
