I would. And that's not "scoring a point." We're not on a point system in life, Mike.

I would marry a history teacher, a math teacher, a music teacher, a kindergarten teacher. So long as they were honest with me and not financially and emotionally abusive like my first husband, of course I would.

I'd marry a mail carrier or an auto mechanic, too.

I didn't marry for an income. My mother was a teacher, and my father a civil servant. I wasn't looking for lavish; I was looking for love.

I think you missed the point about this guy not actually loving me enough to be honest.

To me the painfully sad thing is, he's now dating a young woman with a teenage son of her own. I can already see the same things happening in their relationship, and I can almost set my watch to how long before she experiences the very same things.

I'm sorry my essay didn't make all of that clear to you. I'll write better next time.
