I'm glad you got something out of it in the end, Alison. I moved out, leaving the home to him, and when he finally sold it (we were to split the proceeds) nearly four years later, it was in such bad shape that it sold for $59k less than our initial asking price.

He sold it at a LOSS after living in it for 20 years. Unfathomable to me.

So I'm happy you took some measure of control and didn't have to lose it all.
