I’m very sorry that you see this as a brag. And I’m sorry you focused there instead of on the part where I acknowledge that I have a lot of self-reflection to do, a long road ahead, to figure out why I believed that lying was better than just telling him he was treating me like crap.
I am a work in progress, as are all of us. I have a lot more work to do than many people, that’s true. I decided to start by taking ownership. I can’t take back what I did, but I can admit that I did it.
