Kelly, it’s a tough journey. And a difficult decision. In fact, there is one essay that I published in a literary journal that I simply knew I had to hang onto until my aunt Carol died. Had she read it, I know it would have hurt her feelings. It would’ve hurt her deeply. But, nonetheless, I knew it needed to be written and it needed to be published. It was all about the timing.
