Like I pointed out at the beginning of the essay, Steve, it is men who indicate that they want a strong successful woman. the onus, then, would be on a man to define those characteristics and seek them out in his mate.

But instead, those same men tend toward women who are reliant.

So in this essay I didn't say I was going to define strong women, beyond noting that I am one, with a great education, a powerful resume, and the ability to support myself financially and emotionally. What I did note that I would articulate is what most independent women look for in a partner.

But thank you for pointing out that *your* vision of a good mate is someone who chooses the restaurant and tells you how to get her off. Duly noted. Maybe you should write that in your Tinder profile.
