The former president easily, readily, and stupidly takes the bait.

A Thursday evening in Pennsylvania’s largest city. While their team fought for the World Series in Texas. A rally took place to ostensibly support Republicans Doug Mastriano and Mehmet Oz in the upcoming midterm elections.

If only it had actually been a rally for those two men.

Just 48 hours earlier, President Biden had visited Philadelphia to comment and campaign for Oz’s opponent, the diligent democratic lieutenant Governor, John Fetterman.

Despite some efforts to keep Trump out of the spotlight in these essential midterms, he’s there. He’s everywhere. Trumpists abound in some areas, and in the deeply purple Pennsylvania, his spectre looms large.

Looming, though, is not leading and Trump showed no leadership.

Instead, he blasted Philadelphia, the state’s largest city, by insulting them, their crime record, and their potential for the future.

The. Largest. City.

Trump proclaimed, “I think Philadelphia was a great choice to make this speech of hatred and anger. [Biden’s] speech was hatred and anger,” “Last year, the city set an all-time murder record with 560 homicides, and it’s on track to shatter that record again in…
