Seriously, You Really Do Need It

Listen, girl. I know you THINK you’ve been taking care of yourself, but chances are very good that you haven’t. I mean, not really. When is the last time you did a deep dive into self-care? None of us has time to really recharge and head to the spa. Is the spa even open? We still have to wear masks there. It’s not that refreshing when you are all masked up and nervous about getting sick, is it?

So here, coming to the rescue, I bring you some simple ways to recharge your self-care and remind yourself that YOU MATTER, and so does your self-time.

Do these. Do some today.

Take Five to Decompress

It only takes about five minutes of breathing time, focus time, to reassess your day and bring yourself to a state of mindfulness that can really change your outlook. Take a few minutes to journal or do a five-minute meditation with Headspace.

Walk the Plank

Ok, don’t walk it — do it. Research shows that strengthening your core leads to a whole bunch of other wellness, from your gut to your brain, so take a few moments to master the perfect plank and you’ll find that you can eliminate back pain, see yourself with straighter posture, and generally carry yourself a little higher, which just feels better.
