That's an important question, and a valid one. After my first grad degree, I took a job as a professor, specifically so that my work schedule matched that of my kids, even winter & summer breaks.

So getting that 2nd degree was not only paid for by the university, but achieved part-time, and on the same campus, during the school year and school day.

Not only that, I didn't start the 2nd degree until my youngest was in 4th grade, my oldest in 10th. I carved out so much extra time for my kids amid all of it that I trained for a half marathon with my 15 year old son.

My daughter points out even today that her dad has accumulated the equivalent of 2.5 years of sick time, but never once attended her high school honors recitals, because they took place during the school day.

So...no. He was not "time-limited." He was "time-greedy."

Some people are just like that, I suppose.
