It seems to me that you overlooked the part where I said that every incident not just should, but must, be investigated fully and fairly.

The whole point is that we have to not take *anyone* at their word, neither the accuser nor the accused, until we have the whole story. Don't ruin anyone's life. I'm no apologist, and I've raised three children, two boys and a girl, to not rape and not lie.

It's a fairly straightforward way to avoid damaging anyone's life. And to never say something as vapid as "sorry not sorry."
